Plastic Containers Are Key: Use plastic tubs or corrugated plastic boxes to store your items. Cardboard is useful in the short-term, but over time the natural fibers decompose or, even worse, attract unwanted guests, like moths or fabric beetles. Metal bins oxidize from the moisture in the air, even in the ideal 65% humidity. That means climate controlled units are even susceptible. Plastic bins are stronger and more durable in the long run.

Label Your Bins: This seems like a given, right? Most people do label their bins with a one or two word description, like “Halloween Decorations”. We urge you to be more specific in your labeling.
